Is there an nForce2 motherboard that supports dual channel memory with 4
DIMM sockets? I can only seem to find them with 3... of course maybe
I'm not looking in the right place.

Looks like I posted too quickly... apparently Gigabyte is the only way
to go for 4 DIMMs.

It's too early!

Up to my memory, if you fill all the 4 DIMMs up, it won't give you dual DDR
performance. Read the manual to find it out.

Hope I am wrong.

Cheers.

So then if you go with dual channel you're currently limited to 1gig of
memory? (At least I don't remember seeing 1gig matched pair sticks
anywhere...)

You don't really have to use matched pair sticks. just buy 2, 1gig sticks
of the same type from the same manufacturer.

According to what I have read up I can use 3 Dimms on my Nforce 2 and still
have dual channel memory.

Nvidia seem to say that this will only work with up to 3 Dimms (Not very
clearly written though so I may be wrong)

I have had 3 dimms in and the BIOS is still reporting Dual Channel working
but I have not done any bench testing.
