What does windows media player do to my music files?
Every time I finish playing a song with the player and I check the modified
time stamp of the mp3 it changes. (7:00pm, played with wmp, 7:05pm) Or does
all players do this.

Is Windows Media Player 11 any good?

The modified time stamp is set by your system clock. If the time stamp is
that important, try the below utility.
Timestamp - A utility to change a files "Modified" time. - The Code Project -
