I'd be very grateful for any help on two Microsoft Access
problems:

1. I have imported .txt data files into Access, all of
which have the same number of columns--with exactly the
same names--but different numbers of rows. How can I
perform a simple task (such as deleting a certain row or
column based on some rule) on all files automatically?

2. Once this is done, how can one compute differences of
successive values running down a data column from top to
bottom?

I am new to Access and have been looking at a Microsoft
book but can't get on with the above. Many thanks in
advance!

1. You must create action (update, delete) queries or code to run against
each imported table.
2. There is no top to bottom or first or last in an Access table. Records
are randomly ordered. You would need to provide some sample records with a
better description of what you would like.
