Hi All...

I'm trying to install a program named MouseTracks 2003 (http://gritware.com)
onto Windows Vista Business Edition. The installation begins, but halts with
the following error:

"The operating system is not adequate for running Mouse Tracks 2003."

I've tried running the installer in the compatibility environment, but
nothing seems to work. I can't get an answer from Gritware on this, so I
thought that someone here might have an idea on how do get this working. The
installer appears to have been built with InstallShield.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Marc

There are some programs that you simply cannot trick into installing. But it
seems that the program is pretty well supported. So I would guess that a new
version will be out soon. I know, not soon enough since your trying to
install it now. You may want to shoot them an email and ask if they have any
beta copies that will run in Windows that you could run until the next
version comes out.

Thanks for the quick answer! Unfortunately, I'm can't seem to get any
response from Gritware at all. I've sent emails and I've left messages. This
leaves me with a qweezy feeling. I really don't want to have to re-vamp our
helpdesk software/inventory system if I don't have to. But if Gritware does
not update (or is not in business), I may have to.... Sigh.

Thanks again!

Whahoo!!! I finally heard back (after THREE DAYS) from Gritware, and they
tell me that this issue should be resolved by early next year. So at least I
know that help is on the way :-)
