Questions on Comment Highlighting; Background; Keyboard Shortcuts

I've been using Word since... well, since Word came into existence... always
keen to get to grips with the latest and - hopefully - best!

So, my first questions about Word 2007:

1. Print layout view, with balloon comments and lines to text... Q: how do I
turn off the highlighting of the commented text? [I have *a lot* of comments
and the blocks of colour make are distracting, making it difficult to read
the text. I have my own code that temporarily highlights the "scope" of the
comment when the IP is in the balloon - I don't want them all highlighted all
the time]

2. Print Layout view... Q: How do I turn off that irritating background
design graphic behind the document?

3. Having been to the office website etc. one thing I find lacking is a
COMPLETE list, uncategorised, of all shortcut key combinations that I could
browse and search... has anybody compiled one yet?

Thanks

Julian

1) I hear what you're saying, but there isn't a way to shut it off.

2) You can't shut off the background behind the document. In the Silver
scheme, it is just gray though, would that help? [Word
Options->Popular->Color scheme] And if you have your system set to one of
the High Contrast color schemes, we show a solid background.

3) Developer tab->Macros. For Macros In: select Word Commands. Scroll
down to "List Commands" and Run. Choose "Current Keyboard Settings" in the
resulting dialog and a document will be created with all your Word keyboard
shortcuts. [this does not include accelerator keys for Ribbon commands -
those are displayed visually with keytips after you hit the Alt key]. If the
Developer tab isn't showing, Word Options->Popular, check the box for "Show
Developer Tab in the Ribbon".

In Word2003, I can change the color to white (Tools > Options > Track
Changes > Comments color, if I'm translating correctly from the German
version).
Or in VBA: Options.CommentsColor = wdWhite

Is this no longer possible in Word2007?

Klaus

You can change the comment color to white (which will change all comments)
but it will show up as light gray when unselected and a darker gray when
selected, so you never really lose the shading.
