Questions on BIOS: latency timer, CPU temp, interrupt mode?

1) What is the PCI latency timer? Mine is set for 32. What should it be set
for?

2) My cpu temp is 40c/104f just on boot up? Is that bad?

3) Under the Boot menu of my bios there is "Interrupt Mode." What is that?
Mine is set for APIC, but there is also a "PIC" showing.

hi

1. settings for pci hold time (bus thingy!) 32 is normal setting here....you can change this
but it won't make any big inpact.

2. yes (no info about cpu/cooling, but 40°c is ok for boot/bios)

3. apic (don't set it to pic mode, it may not boot into windows any more then) apic is
advanced pic, programmable interrupt controller, irq's, apic is newer and you can have more
irq's and letting bios/pnp/os controll this (better)
