Well I caved in a bought me a new video card. After reading all the reviews
(pros and cons) I ended up getting the ATI 9600 PRO. So far things seems
alright, however I have a few questions that I am sure you can answer.

1) In certain games the menus seems to be off centered. For example, when I
am in the main menu for Battlefield 1942 there is a border around the
screen. The border however is missing the bottom and right sides, it seems
the screen is not centered.
What causes this and is there some way to fix it?

2) I am finding the text difficult to read in some games. I used to own a
cheap nVidia MX 440 and the text was crisp. With the new ATI the text seems
bubbly or even foggy/not focuses. It is difficult to read.
Any ideas?

That's about it. For now. :)

What drivers are you running? #2 was fixed in 3.9 as far as I
remember. I'm running the Omega 3.10's and am very happy with them.

First make sure you have the latest/correct monitor inf file for your
brand/model monitor
Then while at desktop, check every resolution and refresh rate.

AFAIK, this is a edge-smoothing anti-aliasing thing... You can turn that off
in the control panel, if it bugs you(but your games wont look as good).
