Questions about Microsoft's "Crimson Skies"

Hi. I just found this excellent site and have some
questions re: Crimson Skies. A little "Arcade-y" but lots
of fun. I'm into screenshots and cannot find a way to
pause the game. I printed the back cover from the
included in-game magazine which has some keyboard
commands. It seems to be a little light on ways to control
the game. Any ideas? Anyone know how to pause it?
Pressing "P" or the Pause/Break key does not work, nor in
any combination with "shift" or "CNTRL". How about the
Sybex book on the game? Is anyone familiar with it, and
does it contain the info?
Thanks very much for any replies. I'm glad these
newsgroups are around- they're a great resource for all
of us.

Hi Howard,

I don't have Crimson Skies installed however the keyboard
layout shown here: http://www.keycardhq.de/t/crimsons.pdf
appears to indicate that the ESC key will act as a Pause.

If that fails, use a screenshot utility instead, like Grabber2:

Just a thought, depending on your keyboard hold down ctrl or alt and the
print screen buttons, and it will copy the screen to the clipboard, not high
quality though but easy!
 
Jimmy's suggestions on a third-party application will help you. The problem
with Pause/Print Screen is you get an individual shot which you need to
name, save somewhere and then return to the game until the next time.
Jimmy's ideas will allow you to remain in the game itself, and with a few
(or singular) keystrokes capture/save/store shots in sequence.
