In my test environment I have a Windows 2000 Server with two
hard-drives. A 9GB NTFS (C) and an 18GB FAT32 (D). I placed the Ghost
directory onto the FAT32 partition (since you can't install Norton
Ghost 2003 on a Server), booted with a Windows 98 boot-disk, and ran
ghost within DOS.
1- I did a partion to image. I was not able to do a disk to image. The
error I was getting when doing a disk to image was "Abort 15079,
\MSDOS.SYS size is less than reported size, run Disk Doctor".
2- Which is easier to restore and which is easier to manage? Partition
to Image or Disk to Image?
3- I used a Windows 98 boot-disk. Are the Norton boot-disks better?
4- What are the considerations when you have RAID configured outside
of Windows using a utility? For example, Windows sees my drives as
basic.
5- What are the considerations if you have Exchange Server?
Thanks,
John
