D-Link DGL-4100 Wired Gigabit Gaming Router
(http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=371)

D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless Gigabit Gaming Router
(http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=370)

I have what is probably some stupid questions, but I need to ask before I
buy one of the two routers listed above.
This "Optimized Gaming Experience with GameFuel Technology" does it work
either wired or wireless? Like if I get the D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless Gigabit
Gaming Router and if I would connect my PC and my Xbox360 to it by wired
connection to this wireless router will this "Optimized Gaming Experience
with GameFuel Technology" still work or since it is a wireless router it
only works with wireless connections?
Does this "Optimized Gaming Experience with GameFuel Technology" really make
that much of a difference for gaming on a PC and on an Xbox360?

Thanks.

Not quite a Vista question, but as I have a DGL-4300....

Basically, their "GameFuel" is traffic shaping. The DGL does a brute-force
bandwidth test on your connection when it starts up to determine your
up-stream and down-stream bandwidth. You can configure it with rules to
make sure that gaming traffic doesn't get crushed by other TCP flows on the
connection. (i.e. Junior is upstairs running nine copies of BitTorrent.) I
like it because I can prioritize my VoIP traffic.

GameFuel is part of their routing mechanism, regardless of wired or
wireless. The wireless version still has several GigE ports for wired
connections as well.
