Actually I have two questions. First, how do I get files to show up in my
recycling bin? It hides all the files. It's shown them before, but now
it's hiding them and I haven't changed any settings.

Second, a Quick Time icon keeps showing up in my task bar. I keep taking it
out (through the MS config), but after a while, it pop up again and I'm not
sure why. I don't use QT that I'm aware of.

Thanks so much.

It is possible that you have Windows set to permanently
delete the files instead of temporarily moving them to
the Recycling Bin. You can check this by clicking on the
Recycling Bin with the Right Mouse button and choosing
properties. This will display the Recycling Bin
Properties, ensure there is no check mark in the Box for
Removing Files immediately.

As far as QuickTime, it is possible you are visiting a
site that uses QuickTime embedded in the webpage. You can
go into the control panel and Double click on the
QuickTime Icon and from the window that appears choose
Browser Plug-in option. This will have an option for the
QuickTime System Tray Icon, uncheck that and it should
remove the icon from appearing.

Thank you for your help. I double-checked, and windows is not set to
permanently delete files instead of moving them to recycle bin. A few days
ago it was showing the files in my bin, then it just stopped out of the
clear blue. I have not changed any settings that I'm aware of.

You're probably right about the QT. I do visit a lot of sites with video,
and I'm sure many of them use the QT. I did you you said, but it did not
give me the option for QT system tray icon. It did give the option of
automatically playing movies, though (which was checked).

Thanks again for your help. :-)
