#1. Send the error report. There usually is a button on the error
report window that shows you the details of the error.
There are two reasons for sending the error report.
The first is that it may be a known problem, one for which there is a
documented solution. In that circumstance (not a high probability but
it does happen) you will be able to fix it.
The second is that error reports submitted is how Microsoft gets
information about the frequency and severity of different errors.
These reports are then used to set priorities for detailed
investigation as to the cause. So the more "votes" your specific
problem gets the more likely it is that Microsoft will put a team to
work on solving that problem.
