Can anyone tell me if "Window Washer " is safe to
download ? I keep getting a pop up about it but not sure
if it is safe .
 
If you see a dialog box that looks like a command prompt, and if the title
on the dialog box says something like:

::FREE::WINDOW WASHER::FREE::

do NOT do anything with the dialog box. Instead, open Task Manager (by
pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del) and select the Applications tab. You will see a list
of open windows. 'End Task' on Window Washer. Now close Task Manager and
continue to use your computer normally.

Window Washer is spyware. The scum who created it no doubt sought to create
confusion with other products that have 'Window Washer' in their name, such
as a fine product by Webroot.

Do not close the dialog box by clicking on the X at the upper right corner.
Do not answer the question in the dialog box. Use the Task Manager method to
kill the window.

do as you say . The pop up seems to be coming from
Microssoft so I was not sure . Thanks again and have a
