DianeP,
I just read one of your responses recommending that someone eliminate
mapped network drives and I'm wondering if they could be causing me
problems. I map from my desktop to a laptop over my network and copy my pst
back and forth every day. Usually (actually, every day) OL2002 locks up
early in my session, usually when I click "to" to get an email address. I
Ctrl/Alt/Del, shut down OL, restart it and then it runs fine all day. My pst
is on my desktop. What do you think? Thanks.

are you accessing the pst across the network or copying it to the local
drive? there are issues with accessing the pst on the network, usually just
slowness though. Since you have outlook open already, any slowness should be
from the start not when looking for the address book. I'd try removing the
address book from your profile and adding it back. tools, accounts, change
address books.

if you wait does it ever start responding again?
