Question regarding "Word"

I am trying to set my document into chapters/sections. I
need to do this to be able to put the chapter/section and
page number into the footer. (i.e. 2-1, 2-2, 2-3....
etc.) Also in the header I am wanting to put the title
on the even pages and the section number and title on the
odd pages. It is just not working for me.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Best to ask in one of the many Microsoft Word news groups... ensure to
tell the what version of Word you are using.

My two bits: read Word's Help about Section Breaks, Fields, Headers and
footers and how to make even pages different than odd pages, and how to
put Fields in Headers and Footers.

Check the following ngs and see which one would be most appropriate to your
question:

microsoft.public.word.numbering
microsoft.public.word.docmanagement
microsoft.public.word.pagelayout
