Question Regarding Symantec

I hope I'm posting this on the right group or if someone could point me in
the right direction....

I work for an organization with a network of about 20 PCS connecting to one
server.

We have to remove our old virus software and we are putting Symantec
anti-virus. Installing it on each PC is not a problem but I have been told
that it also needs to be installed onto the server...?

If so, is this straight forward, it's just the company we use for tech
support want 350quid to do this! Are there guides or anything on how to do
this?

I would be grateful for any help...
