I am looking for a glossy or matt photographic type paper for printing on, I
dont know how you measure these things but as a guide I am looking for
something which is only as thick as normal everyday printing paper, not the
thicker as in photographic quality. I want to print some small pictures and
insert them into a keyring fob but normal photographic paper is too thick.

Can anyone help me with this in terms of what `grade` or whatever term is
used to measure thickness.
Any links where I could purchase this paper.

thanks

Most store brand photo paper comes in three different qualities
(everyday, standard, and professional), the 'everyday' type is usually
much thinner than other photo papers. I know Staples and Office Depot
have this, not sure about OfficeMax.

HP has several papers that could be used, 'presentation paper', which
is matte, and brochure paper, which is a little higher quality and
either glossy or matte. Most stores carry these types of paper under
their own brand name. I would not reccomend getting the HP type if you
don't have an HP printer.

Canon used to have a High Resolution Paper, I don't know if they still
make it anymore.

Brochure paper seems like the one I need and its an HP printer I have.

Thanks for the information.

Which printer model are you using and what ink types? These printer
inks are not generic to all papers and vise versa.
