Should cgautil.exe be installed by default with the 2.0 version of compact
framework 2.0? In attempting to QA a CE 5.0 build that supossedly has
compact framework 2.0 installed I am not able to locate cgautil.exe in the
windows directory. As a side note, and to clarify some confusion with a
developer, can Compact framework 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 be installed together?
According to the 2005 rollup for QFE "Run Platform Builder and add the new
..NET Compact Framework v2.0 Catalog item to your workspace. If the
workspace includes .NET Compact Framework v1.0, remove it before adding .NET
Compact Framework v2.0" However there is also a MSDN article that states "
You can install and run multiple versions of the .NET Framework on a
computer. Currently there are three versions of the .NET Framework: version
1.0, version 1.1, and version 2.0 The three .NET Framework versions can be
installed in any order". I know the cgautil.exe is installed with 1.0 and
1.1 but am unclear if it is installed with 2.0. Any help would be
appreciated.
