I can't get a nice black copy from our HP4570. We replaced a 4100c that
always gave a nice crisp black scan. I used to scan and make a copy and
sometimes would get my original and the copy mixed up... the copies were
actually better than the original. (using normal, not best output)
With this 4570 all I can get is a gray colored print out... I'm so
disgusted. I can get close to black by selecting "best" and also turning my
printer settings to darker, but I shouldn't have to do that., The 4100 gave
a black on quick copy.
It also locks up and won't shut off even rebooting the computer wont shut
the thing off! I have to unplug the silly thing and wait a while and replug
to get it going again. How EMBARRASSING, when you are doing a favor and
making a quick copy for a neighbor!
My question is ... Is this typical of this scanner? I think the software is
awful too! I'm ready to trash it and try the 4100c again.
