I hope this is the sort of thing this group would be interested in. I
use windows media player to play various wmv files. For most of them,
the seek bar works fine allowing movement in either direction.
Bur for some movies, the seek bar does nothing. The line that shows
the progress of the movie moves to wherever on the seek bar I click,
but as soon as I let up on the mouse, the line moves back to where it
was originally. The movie itself is unaffected.
I thought of running the file through Movie Maker, thinking the output
from that program surely would work fine. Ugh. Movie Maker reports
that it is unable to load the file since it is "not indexed".
Is there some program I can run such files through so that they will
behave differently? If you have a similar experience or just a
comment, I would be interested in hearing them all.
Thanks in advance
