Question on using non-truetype characters

I can't use non-truetype characters, they are hidden.
How to show them?

Hi Francesco,

TrueType is a font technology, not some sort of character.

What font do you use, and what characters do you have problems with?
Do you see squares instead of the characters?

Yes, I know. On my Windows installation I have bitmapped fonts and
truetype-technology font.
Now I've installed a new bitmapped font, but this font isn't available in
the font list in Word XP, while it is visible when you change the font in
(i.e.) Notepad.

Hi Francesco,

Usually you can only use fonts in Word that you can print.
Since only dot matrix printers can print raster fonts, you could try if you
find a printer driver for a dot matrix printer.
Perhaps your font then becomes available (though you won't be able to print
on a "normal" ink jet or laser printer).

Perhaps you can find a TrueType font that looks similar?
