Question on installing a SATA Hd and Dvd burner.

Can I set up my DVD burner (it will be my only optical drive) as Primary
Master if I am using the SATA interface for my only hd?
If not is there another better configuration?

I'm using a P4P800 and my bios lets me select which drive I boot from.
My boot drive is on a SATA port and my CDRW drive is on the master IDE
channel.
