I've looked through the help file and don't see the answer.

It has a Find function to find keys in registry> It seems to show all orphan (?)
keys. Don't see a way to search for keys for a particular program.

Is there a way to search by program?

Same issue with duplicate files in Easycleaner.

No

G'Day Mike , not exactly an answer to your question , but it is
relative .

99% of the duplicates it finds are in two folders .
Open , Windows Explorer > View > Folder Options > View ,
click on Show all files , click on OK .
Now go to > c:\windows\sysbckup and c:\windows\options\cabs
You can delete everything from sysbckup except the files with a .cab
extention (they're your registry backups for scanreg) and a couple of
others that it won't let you .
If you've got the Windows CD & you are short of space , delete
the whole options\cabs folder completely .

Thanks to all. Easycleaner seems to clean "all or nothing".

To find anything in the registry I use Regsrch, a tiny program which
searches for any string and prepares a Wordpad document which can be saved
as a .reg file and used for restoration if needed.

Click on Unnecessary .
I tick > Normal types , Extra types & Temp directories .
Don't use Duplicate files unless you really know what your doing .
If you try & remove a file that is being used , it will after
about a 15 second delay , inform you so & will not delete .

I find , if any duplicate's are left after running my cleaners , they
are best left alone .

Thanks, John. Good advice as it found some old stuff, led to some troubleshooting.

Thanks Frank. I ran the script- now what? Maybe my W98Se doesn't have a file it
needs, but how do you activate it?
