Hi all,
I'm a bit confused here...
My P4C800E-De Luxe has an option under "Jumperfree" for "External
Frequency".
If I set it to 400 MHz I can not overclock the memory (4 pcs Twinmos
Dual-Ch 256mb CAS2.5) only "by SPD" works.
Or am I missing something here, because:
In a note on Corsair's CMX512-4400 I read "Each module is tested in an
Asus P4C800-E motherboard at DDR550 (275MHz) 3-4-4-8"
So what frequency do I run the chips on when I set 400 MHz?
If this is Corsair's top dog, why should they run it at only 275 ?
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks a lot!

When Spread Spectrum (in Advanced->Chipset) is Enabled on my P4C800ED, upping the fsb over 201MHz while the
memory is set to 400MHz results in failed reboots. I don't know whether this is a quirk with just my mb or
the same goes for all P4C800EDs.

Tony.

Are you overclocking?

266 = 3:2 CPU to DDR ratio
320 = 5:4 CPU to DDR ratio
400 = 1:1 CPU to DDR ratio
