Not only that, she didn't spell Malke's name correctly.

Oh, I don't care about the spelling. She obviously had a hard enough time
posting at all so the fact that she made a new post to say "thank you" is
no biggie to me either. I think it's really nice that she made the effort.
So few of the posters do.

I have no idea if she'll see this, but: Glad to hear it, Ms. GLenn. Thanks
for taking the time to let me know.

Please reply to the original post.
You seemingly started a new post.

Not "post". THREAD.

Actually - in this case - it could be either/neither

If she replied to her original post (not the replies to her post (which make
it a conversation) but the originating post itself) - it would have been
more informative (to those who did not/may not see the originating post)
than this new post.

If she had replied to Malke in her original conversation (you could call it
a thread) then her response would have created a conversation. Malkes
initial response would have definitely started a thread in said
conversation.

The question this brings up for me is if she replied to her own posting (not
the replies to her posting) but inferred she had read and utilized the
responses to her post (the entire conversation) - then is the 'thread' she
started by replying to her own post a conversation (with herself)?

Of course this all comes down from the originating electronic bulletin board
systems of the past where people dialed-in (dialed-up) and posted/created
conversations/threads on these systems. The terminology surrounding this
phenomenon is expansive and somewhat dictated by the age/experience with the
genre of those participating as well as possibly the locale of those
participating.

Now, there's a class act!
