question about web page displaying message

I have IE8 and my java and flash all updated but when I go to some site a
pop up comes up saying I need IE8 to display the page right. I am USING
IE8, even when I go to download some more IE8 addins it displays that I'm
not using IE8 (from Microsoft)

Please try the IE7/IE8 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
