According to an article on Wired News, one out of twelve emails sent
Monday were this virus. It's supposed to be likely to be as big a
problem as the SoBig was last year.

Looks like someone you know is infected. I got three yesterday from people
who I don't know. Nothing to worry about.

I'm getting slammed with:

The following attachments were deleted due to an inability to clean them:
1. q527612.exe: W32.Swen.A@mm

The following attachments were deleted due to an inability to clean them:
1. Pack5363.exe: W32.Swen.A@mm

Also the microsoft customer email with an attachment and a couple with
something like this:

Hi.

Undeliverable message to (e-mail address removed)

Altogether I have seven emails with viruses this morning. Not all were
caught by my provider...

None here yet, I must wait until my clueless friends get infected
I guess. Hopefully by then my ISP will be able to catch them
like they did with Swen. I got four (two pair) of Swen during
the onslaught ~ Brightmail neutered them before I got them.

Swen was especially bad for usenet participants, and didn't
get noticed much by the media ~ this one is different in that
it affects a larger cross section of internet users.

Interesting, but how do you know they are from people
that you don't know? They could very well be from
people that you *do* know - but pretending to be from
someone you don't.

You are posting your unmunged (I assume) e-mail address to
usenet - Swen thanks you for the snack.

But at least the damn payload is only about 20-30k, rather than the
~200k that SWEN delivered. That was the main annoyance with SWEN - if
you actually downloaded the wretched things they would eat all your
bandwidth capacity (for those of us not on broadband).
