Question about Vista

I would like to know if you need XP version first and update to Vista or
will the computers come out with the Vista Version. Right now, I have
Windows 98SE and am told that I should update to XP. I do not want to do
that. I would rather start with a new computer with a new version. I want to
wait for Vista to come out and not have to update it from XP if that is
possible. My computer is 6 years old and I am used to it.

That is most reasonable, indeed.

Yes, it is possible. And it is reasonable to buy a new machine with
Vista preinstalled, in 2007.

Windows 98 is a dead operating system. It does NOT qualify as an upgrade to
Windows Vista.

Windows 2000 does NOT (at this time) qualify as an upgrade to Windows Vista

Yes, Angel, in the first part of 2007 you will see new computers for sale
with Vista installed.
