Hi, I am new to this forum, and to the use of Nero. I just got this new
computer so I could make family DVD's from my DV camera, and my new computer
has the Nero program. When I try to make a DVD it keeps giving me a message
that I can not view it unless I pruchas a plugin for $24.95. I am wondering
it it is worth it to do this, but feel a little cheated that the computer
came with the program, but now I can not view anything I make until I buy the
plugin.

And one more thing....I would like to have your opinion on how you rate this
program of Nero? Any thoughts on this from anyone would be helpful...thanks.

Nero is a good programme for recording dvd and cd's. I'm not sure which plug
in it is refering to. Do you have dvd playing software installed, like
powerdvd? This should play the dvd for you. If you don't have any, then you
need to pay for an mpeg decoder to be able to watch any dvd, so it probably
refers to this.

That's the link for the plug in that's required. I like Nero more than any
other prog., but I hate having to buy extra plug ins. However, the standard
retail version of Nero that you buy in the box already comes with this plug
in. So if you've got everything but the plug in, it's not a bad deal.
