Dear all:

If I create a sub-domain, then in sub-domain DC¡¦s DNS setup, should I input
root domain¡¦s ip, or sub-domain DC¡¦s ip?

And should my sub-domain¡¦s client setup DNS to root DC? Or sub-domain DC¡¦
ip?

Thanks!

Many thanks for your help!

I find out that after I create a sub-domain, its name will show in my DNS
server.

My quest is that should I delegate this sub-domain to my new sub-domain¡¦s
DC?

And if I yes, How about the step? I mean should I create sub-domain name on
my DNS server first, then DCPROMO my sub-domain¡¦s DC?

Thank you,

David

In the Windows DNS GUI it is easy -- almost trivial --
to delegate:

Right click and Delegate, provide the DNS server(s)
that hold the zone.

But if you have already added the subdomain on the server
that should have delegated you will have to remove that.
