I'd like to know about the "step back" feature in XP. For example, an
expensive program I bought months ago finally "bombed out". I spent many days
looking through my thousands of CDs so I could reload it, but didn't find the
CD. If I were to step way back I presume the program would run again.
I would expect to lose any programs installed since the step back date, and
that would be tolerable, but what about data. Would I lose password.txt with
the new password the bank required. Would I lose the picture of my
granddaughter that came by e-mail recently? I'm assuming I can't think of
every bit to data to be sure it is backed up.
