Any opinions about RSS readers? Which one(s) are best? is It sounds like
a way to avoid giving out an email address to sites you want to monitor
(newsletters Blogs etc).

If there are no security risks (or risks that can be mitigated) which RSS
reader
would be recommended?

There is a list of them at: http://www.lights.com/weblogs/rss.html

Many if not most are free.

I use Opera for RSS reading. It shows cleanly that you have new "newsfeeds",
and they're just a click away. I see no security risks, AFAIK.
