Question about Reg.exe (Resource Kit) - Why was Update removed

Hi.

I have 2 versions of reg.exe

V1.05 supports the update function.

V2.0 does not.

Why was update removed? Is it safe to use? Is there a replacement method
using v2.0?

I'll answer my own question for the benefit of those interested.

V2.0 removes the UPDATE function but gives the ADD function the ability to
OVERWRITE a value if it already exists.

This is more helpful to me because the UPDATE function in v1.05 fails if the
Value does not exist. A big thank you to the guys in charge of support
tools at Microsoft.
