Does anyone try those no-brand name 4"x6" photo paper that selling in
BestBuy?

I don't use any generic paper unless it's for throw-away type stuff. I use
only OEM ink in all my pritners, so when you factor in ink and the fact that
the paper might go poorly with your printer's ink it's not so much of a
bargain. You'd waste your ink and paper. OEM + OEM = works best for me -
especially with my HP.

I recently tried the "house brand" glossy photopaper from Staples and that was
a big disappointment compared to the HP and Canon paper I was using. ran out
half way thru a run, and you can see the difference.

Depends on the ink and paper combinations. Some combos work better than
others.

For instance, I have a Canon i850 using Atlanticinkjet bulk ink and
Office Depot photo paper. The results are as close to Canon as anyone
could possibly get, essentially identical. Photo prints are waterproof
and lightfast under glass or in an album.

I don't go to get my photos printed anymore...I do all of my photo
printing at home in my own "mini-lab" for less than any store. :)
