Does anyone know why the hell my system always has
around at least
8 or so connections to localhost ? When I type " netstat
-a -n " at
the command prompt . I can't figure it out. My computer's
not bein
ghacked or anything and I think this is normal for this to
occur but
does someone know what for ? I looked at the processes using
it and it's
mostly Mozilla.exe, svchost.exe and ICQ.exe .. Any help
or an
explanation on this would be appreciated. Not a big deal I
know, they seem to open whenever I have a connectoin to
something.

thanks,

jason

It's anything that has a connection.

Given the "interesting" format of the post, is Mozilla simply hanging
around, waiting to mangle the format of anything outgoing..? Initially
thought that it was a weird HTML posting.. ;o)

svchost.exe is used for a number of things - try doing a Google on exact
processes running; this should tell you which drivers are doing what..
