Hello All,
Is there anyway that I can prevent users from browsing the network besides
using $ within applications and windows explorer.
For example, I have a shared folder on clients desktop and they are able to
see the whole network from the address bar. Is there a way I can restrict
access to seeing these locations. Also if I used $hidden admin shares for
netlogon and sysvol would this have any negative such as for logon scripts
which are housed in the SYSVOL folder.
Thanks,
Altria

I'm researching the answer for hiding the shares, as for the second part of
your question; Sysvol and Netlogon are shared by the system account.
Renaming them will have a negative affect on replication and user logon.
