Hi!

My folks are wanting to use Movie Maker to edit video and then use a third
party program to make the DVD.

They said their final product was a 4x4 square and blurry. So, I assume they
didn't chose NTSC for DVD burning.

Question..does Movie Maker create MPEGS? If not, will DVD burning programs
accept WMV's or that DV-AVI?

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

Most DVD software accept DV-AVI files a input. Some accept WMV also. Sonic
is working in sync with Microsoft and software such as MyDVD accepts either
format, and the results look similar.

MyDVD version 4 came on my laptop and I've burned the same video using both
a WMV and DV-AVI file to the same DVD and compared them. The results are so
similar that, if you have hard drive space considerations, then the WMV file
is a good approach.
