I am getting the A7N8X-E motherboard, and it has an add on WiFi card you can
use. I'm new at the whole networking thing....the computer with the WiFi
card is going to be in another room. The main computer has a cable modem.
What do I need to get on the internet with the second computer. Would one of
those wireless routers do it?

yup! You can get some more info at http://www.homenethelp.com/

get a wireless router, I have a dlink 624. It has both wireless and hard
wire connections.
Works both ways automatically. To connect a hard wire connection use
straight cat 5 cable, run the cable that is connected to your pc from the
cable modem into the wan port on the router get another cable connect it to
the any other port on the router and connect it to the pc. That should get
you started.
