hi. i have two windows vista machines, one desktop directly connected to my
whr-g125 buffalo router and 1 laptop wirelessly connected to my router. i
would like to know the speed at which they are connected. cause when i
transfer stuff from on machine to another via the router the speed i get it
around 2.3 MBps. "note the capital b". is this a good speed?

my ethernet card in the desktop is 10/100/100, my laptop is a wifi capable
and my router is whr-g125 which i think is capable of speeds upto 54.

Currently Vista has a problem with lan file copy, apparently partially
addressed in sp1, when released

Hi
Since your transfer is done via Wireless laptop 2.3MB/sec., which represents
about 20Mb/sec. is a very good transfer for 802.11g Wireless, Nothing is
wrong with your Vista.

Jack (MVP-Networking).

can i configure the router to give a dedicated 64kbps from my internet line
to each pc from the 128kbps line i have, when both pcs are using the
internet?
