PC WIZARD tells me that this CPU is:

Intel Pentium XE 820 @ 2800 MHz

I have researched the XE 820 and wonder if my CPU is double core?
How would I tell? Just curious.

It is on a Dell 0HJ054 board.

Thanks

Duke

You can try the Intel Processor Identification Utility,
or use CPUZ for a second opinion as to the name of the
processor.

http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/sb/CS-014921.htm

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html (no-install version)

Reading the part number off the top of the processor, and looking
up the SLxxx thing or the box code, are other ways to track it down.
But since you're reporting this via PC Wizard, that means your
heatsink and fan are still in place. In that case, I'd try one
of the two utilities above, to get quick confirmation.

HTH,
Paul
