question about installing web server on xp professional

Hi,

i have a machine where i have a windows xp professional license. I would
like to use this machine to act as a web server for a small department
website. However i read somewhere "on the internet" that windows nt
workstation and windows 2000 professional had the restriction that only 10
visitors at a time could see the website. Is this correct and does that
limitation still exist under xp professional?

Hi -

That is correct - XP Professional is limited to ten
incoming connections and IIS the web server software that
comes with XP Professional respects that limit.
 
Yes, the 10 user limit applies for XP IIS (web) services. Same with the FTP
Server.
