Then something is causing the message to go out in a rich text format. Her
is a list of things to check since there has been no mention of what type o
account/server you are passing thru. (and this can be verified by th
outlook express recipient by looking at the source of the message. ask th
recipient if they see a reference to something called winmail.dat
* Client side things...
- Open the contact record of the person you are trying to send a messag
to. Double click on the email address and verify that it isn't set t
always send in Rich Text Format
- Look for third party apps that sync with Outlook contacts. HP's dat
sync program does something weird that always marks outgoing message a
Outlook Rich Text. Have not found a solution to this as of yet
* Server side things...
- A Microsoft Exchange server can be configured to reformat all message t
Rich Text. Need to work with the Network gods to see if 1) can be override
from the client side or see if they will turn this option off. (the optio
is off by default, but some sites turn it on.
fwiw, i have been using outlook for many years. i will agree that outloo
express does some things better than outlook. but the same can be said fo

Only people who are able to view embedded images are those using Outloo
and anyone using Outlook Express or other email programs are unable.
really believe now that Outlook Express is a better email program. It jus
does not have all the cool features as Outlook. It is pretty bad when th
free one works better then the one you pay for
