I am running Windows XP SP2 with all updates and also running IE7, MS Office
2007, MS Office 2003 and Windows Live OneCare. Before I take the plunge with
the Vista upgrade do I have to uninstall all those programs? Can I install
them after I upgrade Vista? Anyone has experience with this software? I
appreciate your help.

I would, just to reduce the likely possibility of failure and reinstall them
after, I take it you plan upgrading. Windows Live OneCare is not compatible
with Vista and probably won't until Vista released, so I would remove that
for sure. Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 should be compatible though, don't
know about IE 7, but just be safe, revert back to IE 6.

If you AntiVirus software, here you go:
You are in luck, here are few recommended choices:

here are 2 others:
Avast 4.7 32-bit

run "Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON" from an elevated command prompt
on Vista x64 (Thanks Barb Bowman for the tip)
