Hello All,
I am wondering if it is possible to run IE 6.0 from a server where clients
access it by a shortcut. I would disable IE on the client machines and allow
and disallow usage from one centralized location.
I need to do this because some clients do not require access to the internet
during certain periods of the day.
TIA,
Altria

The Windows OS depends heavily on the Internet Explorer shell, Altria.
You can disable internet access but totally disabling IE is well nigh
impossible.
Do it the way everybody else does it. Stick a proxy server between the Internet
and your network. Disable the proxy and no one surfs anywhere.

You can use Browse control, this will allow you to turn internet on or
off for any client from a central location. You can view
details/download a trial from: www.browsecontrol.com
