Question about Business Contact Manager

I was looking into Business Contact Manager a couple of
months ago, and came accross the fact that Microsoft said
that you couldn't share your BCM in a small office. That
just sounded absurd to me, so I looked into it further. I
am about 98% sure I found an article showing you how you
could edit the registry or something in order to allow all
users in a small office to use the same SQL Server
Database as their BCM Database.

I know that would not be supported by MS, but it would be
great if I were right.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

So there's no way to say run BCM from the server's SQL
2000, and have everyone use that database? It seems like
that would be in the registry somewhere, surely it's not
hard-coded in the app what server it's looking for?!?

What about replication? Can I somehow have every one get
synced on the go?

Why would they enable all of this great task/calendar
sharing in Outlook 2003, and not let you share BCM data?!

ugh.

No.

AFAIK, it is.

Don't know. Haven't tried it. Report back if you do.

Partly because sharing involves conflict resolution and other issues that
couldn't be solved in the time allowed to deliver the application in the
Office 2003 suite.
