My case has two front ports that I could plug into the mother board
However the plugs are different. The motherboard, as you know has the
9 pin plug, yet the case has two 10 pin plugs. Is there a way to get
this to plug into that? is there an adapter or cable I can get?

If it's a regular case you buy in a shop then it should be a standard
plug, but there is a catch, mobo makers don't all use the same pin
layout. (go figure)

If you have the case manual look at the front USB specs and the mobo
manual for the USB pin layout for USB 5 & USB 6. Compare them, if the
pin layouts don't match exactly you may be able to fix it. If you look
real close to the side of the plug some of them have tiny little
latches, with an ultra small flat head screw driver (or similar) you can
pull them back ever so slightly and release the pins, then just
re-arrange the pins so they all match the A7N8X USB 5&6 specs.

My cases have separate wires for each USB pin, it's a lot of fun
connecting all those pins! :)

I have a Lian Li case with the two USB ports on the front. The plastic
molded piece that houses the two ports is physically the same as the one
included with the motherboard to have ports on the back. I took it apart
and just swapped this piece with the other and now I have the two front
ports and the other end just plugs into the motherboard where it's supposed
to. If I recall correctly, the hardware had to stay with the case because
it was slightly different.

Good luck.
