Any suggestions please ?

Hi,

There is an option on the Action Settings (Right Click for the button for
the Menu) to "Highlight Click" on mouse click. Would that help? Else, you
could put a shape over it, of a different colour, to animate in with a
Trigger. That is, you click on it and it brings in a shape over the same
one, as well as starting the animation sequence.

Thank you,

I tried the first method but for some reason that option ("Highlight
Click" is dimmed on my system...???

Any idea why ?

I see what I was doing wrong...: I used an Action Button. It works
only with regural shapes. Anyway - it changes the color only for a
second and doesn't stay with the new color - which is what I wanted.

I don't know who at MS should take a note of that, but I belive that
somoeone ought to address this desirable feature in the next version
of PPT, namley -

It will be nice to be able to present an Action Button which

A. Has an embedded text on it: "GO" or "START"
B. Once clicked on, it would change colors or fade, and
change the text to, say: "STOP"

It is a very desirable button in presenting and cueing displayed
processes....!!!

Thanks,

Hi,

What I am trying to say is you can do this already with triggers.

Indeed I can, but not with Action Buttons and not as simple as MS
could provide by a fully executable one option.

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint
that you just created (you can save, but not open)? -

Hello,

It sounds that, although there are workarounds, you would like this to be a
lot easier to do in PowerPoint.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions for how to
make this easier to do in PowerPoint, don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
