Querying a pass-through query

I am using Access 2000 to connect to an Oracle database. I have setu
some pass-through querys to get some of the Oracle data, and th
results come back pretty fast. However, if I create a query to ge
data from the results of a pass-through query, it takes a long time (
acutally haven't been patient enough to see if it will finish and en
up killing it). I also set up a report based on a pass-through, whic
ran pretty slow.

So my question is, is it possible to query the results of
pass-through? And if so, is there any way to speed it up

Pass through queries(PTQ) are fast, because Jet doesn't get involved.
Jet queries against Access data are fast, because there's no translation
involved.

Jet queries to Oracle are slow because Jet must get involved and perform
translations(ODBC calls, et al, whatever). So, if there is a way to peform
the PTQ, then import the data to Access, THEN query via Jet, then the query
may be faster. So, if the import is faster than the regular query, maybe
you can go that route??
