Someone did attempt to help you. though not very well. It's a well known
(to many) fact that XP does not play nice with floppies. The driver does
not work with all types of drives or disks.

Read here for more info: http://tinyurl.com/llkb

Short version - format a new floppy on the XP machine, take it to the
machine where you can read the old floppy, copy old data to new floppy.
Better yet, network or email the data to the XP machine.

Personally, I think it's part of the Grand Wintel Plan to Eliminate Legacy
Hardware - parallel printers also can be a pain in XP - they want us to go
USB.

Can anyone help me with my earlier query on floppy disks?
I would appreciate it :-)
