i would like to query several fields in a table for the sam
information. is the only way to do this to use [search criteria] i
each field and then type the desired stuff several times? there must b
an easier way. a local expert said to design an unbound text box in
form, use Like "*"&[at least part of criteria]&"*" on the form,,, the
make reference to that text box/form in each of the fields of the quer
that i want searched - then all i have to do is type the desired searc
criteria once even though i have to still build the search into eac
field originally. this STILL seems like there should be a smoother way
Basically, i just want the ability of Ctrl+F action so i can search th
whole table. do you suppose i should just use that? (ctrl F?)
thank yo

You can use the same parameter as a criteria under multiple columns. If your
parameter is exactly the same, you will only be asked once. I always prefer
entering criteria on forms.
